Una Tuya y Una Mía: Bobby Pulido’s Legacy Lives On through Collaboration

The Power of Collaboration in Latin Music

Bobby Pulido, the Tejano music legend, is taking his final bow on stage, but his music will live on through his latest album, Una Tuya y Una Mía. This innovative concept album features Pulido teaming up with fellow Latin music stars for a collection of live duets, each pairing one of Pulido’s beloved hits with a signature song from a guest artist’s catalog.

The Concept Behind the Album

“It was all live,” Pulido explained in a recent interview. “The concept is Bobby and friends—una tuya y una mía. So I would sing one of their songs with them, and they sing one of my songs with me.”

  • The album is the latest installment in Pulido’s unique album concept, which delivers on its title: Una Tuya y Una Mía (“One of Yours and One of Mine”). Each live collaboration pairs one of Pulido’s beloved hits with a signature song from a guest artist’s catalog.
  • The album features 14 tracks, with two songs being released weekly from April 22 through May 30. Volume Two, which includes 16 tracks, will follow with weekly releases from June 17 through August 7.

A Star-Studded Sendoff to a Tejano Trailblazer

The album is a who’s who of Latin music, featuring collaborations with Jennifer Peña, David Olivarez, Majo Aguilar, Luis Padilla of Grupo La Firma, and David Bisbal. Just last week, Pulido dropped two fiery duets with Bisbal: a new take on his breakout hit “Desvelado” and a stirring rendition of Bisbal’s hit “Dígale.”

Collaborators Songs
Jennifer Peña “Enséñame”
David Olivarez “Ojalá Te Animes”
Majo Aguilar “Se Murió de Amor”
Luis Padilla of Grupo La Firma “Enséñame”
David Bisbal “Desvelado” and “Dígale”

The Final Curtain… and What Comes Next

Pulido, a Latin Grammy winner and one of the early pioneers of Tejano-pop fusion, first rose to fame with his 1995 debut Desvelado, an album that earned Gold certification and cemented him as a crossover heartthrob across the U.S. and Mexico. With chart-toppers like “Enséñame,” “Ojalá Te Animes,” and “Se Murió de Amor,” he became a household name and a symbol of modern Tejano music’s global reach.

“Now on his final tour, Por La Puerta Grande, Pulido is bidding farewell to the stage with performances through the end of 2025. But fans haven’t heard the last of him—he’s currently working on a final studio album slated for release in 2026.”

Pulido is also setting his sights on a new kind of public stage. The singer has announced his intention to enter public service, with plans to run for office in Texas following his retirement from performing.

An Enduring Legacy, One Duet at a Time

With “Le Pediré” and the rest of Bobby Pulido & Friends – Una Tuya y Una Mía, Pulido offers more than a goodbye—he delivers a celebration of friendship, legacy, and the power of collaboration in Latin music.
